Why Do You Want to Create a Facebook Fan Page?

Here's the reason you want to create a Facebook fan page: They generate mass exposure effortlessly!

Fan pages can easily go viral and with this intense exposure, you will be able to:

1) Maximize commissions through extended exposure

2) Build a reputation in your niche market

3) Generate MASSIVE traffic to every site you post

4) Beef up your Alexa ranking, instantly!

When you create a Facebook fan page you are essentially setting up a CENTRALIZED TRAFFIC FUNNEL for your entire affiliate campaign. And since creating a fan page is FREE, you are able to start generating exposure at no cost at all.

PLUS - you can create as many Facebook fan pages you wish!

You will also want to make sure that your Facebook profile is completely filled out and include a photo if possible, along with your website URL.

When you create a Facebook fan page... you are entirely anonymous which means that no one knows that YOU are the admin of the page.

This is a great way of promoting affiliate products as well as your own without exposing the fact that you are an affiliate.

Once you create a Facebook fan page, you will be given 100% control over it and will be able to update it as often as you like.

From inside of your Facebook account, click on "Create A Page" or subsequently, if you're logged in, you can click the link below:

Facebook.com/pages/create.php

Begin by choosing a local which is basically a category for your page:

Next, choose a name for your page. This should include relevant keywords relating to what your page is going to be about.

For example, if you are going to create a page that centers around a specific niche (like weight loss, acne, pets), you should include your primary niche keyword in the page title.

Click "Create Page"

When your page is first created it will be relatively empty and you will want to spend some time filling out additional details, including adding a photo, image or avatar that represents your fan page, and adding a description so that people searching for specific pages can find yours.

Again, use keywords when creating a description for page.

Make sure that you add your website URL into the text box as shown above. You NEED to enter in the FULL URL, otherwise the link won't be clickable.

So, My-Website.com will work.

You want to do your best to offer enough information about your fan page to encourage other people to join the group.

Once you have created your fan page you will be able to choose contacts from existing friends or from your e-mail address book and send them an automated message suggesting that they become a fan of the page you just created.

When you've created a decent size community of fans (1,000 or more), it's time to start posting updates that include your cloaked affiliate link as well as direct links to free content and resources that members of your fan page will find useful.

You want to balance out promotional updates with quality broadcast so that you are able to retain your "fans".

It won't take long to create a large community of fans, just start by inviting all of your existing Facebook friends, and then searching for new contacts using Facebook's built in search or by choosing contacts from your different email and social accounts.

You can also create as many different fan pages as you want, with each one focusing on a different niche market.

When you post updates make sure you use the status area so that you are able to generate maximum exposure from your messages.

Facebook Fan Page - Why You Need to Create One!

Facebook is now the Worlds No 1 social media website boasting over 600 million users. About half of those users go on Facebook each day for an average of 55 minutes. The average user of Facebook has around 130 friends connected to their profile page and 'Like' about 80 pages, groups causes or events. In Internet marketing terms, that's a lot of highly targeted potential customers.

Creating a Facebook fan page is very easy and more importantly they are free. You can have several Facebook fan pages created within an hour. You can make an "official page" if you are the official representative of a business or organisation or you can create a " community page" which can be about anything you choose.

They can be about places, a style of music, TV programmes, people, bands, clothing, anything you like. A page will need an interesting name and an image. A simple image can be found at a cool little site PublicDomainPictures.net.

These pages can be 'Liked' by Facebook users who either identify with your page topic or just like what your page is about and want to part of something 'special'. Facebook pages can eventually go viral creating a list of hundreds of thousands of fans. For instance, Imran Nassem has many fan pages and 2 of his are:

I hate people who lie which has 24,400 fans as I write this, and...

Driving, With the windows down with Loud Music on which has 9730 + fans.

Imran Naseem is said to earn around $2000 a month from his Facebook fan pages alone.

Another well known Facebook fan page business man is Jason Simms. Jason created a simple fan page which has over 500,000 fans and he makes around $6000 a month from marketing directly to his page fans through status updates. That's about $200 a day.

Think about it for a minute, 1 status update incorporating an affiliate product link seen by 500,000+ people for free! If just 1% of that amount of people bought the product that would be a nice little earner for 5 mins of work!

Now imagine that you had several free fan pages on Facebook all with thousands of fans! All able to see what affiliate products you are offering once you have typed it into your status box. Could you make money then? It would be a good idea to also have a website with a matching keyword rich domain name that has a 'Like' box on it to drive extra traffic to your page and you can get thousands of visitors to your page. All without the costs of using auto-responders. Your fans become your list.

So you need to ask yourself, for a few minutes work at night while relaxing on Facebook, you could be creating a second or even a first main source of income. That is why you need to create a Facebook fan page!

Create a Facebook Fan Page

You may have a Personal Facebook Profile and even belong to a few Facebook Groups, but do you have a Facebook Fan Page for your business? You may be missing out on one of the greatest marketing strategies if you don't. Today I want to share with you one way you can use Facebook for business: by creating an Official Facebook Page, also known as a Fan Page.

If you still aren't sure Facebook is right for your company, first I'm going to provide some statistics that may have you taking a second look, then I'll discuss why and how to set up a Facebook Page. Does Facebook really matter? Yes! Definitely yes! Here are some noteworthy facts about Facebook that clearly indicate its importance and potential impact on your company:

Half of Facebook's 400+ million users spend approximately 55 minutes on the site each and every day.
The average user has 130 friends and is connected to 60 pages, groups, and events-this means massive viral exposure for your content is possible.
People are sharing more than 25 billion items of interest (web links, news stories, blog posts, etc.) each month.
Women over 55 years old are the quickest growing group of users and the average person on Facebook is 35.

Hopefully you can see from those facts and demographics, your company belongs on Facebook and setting up a Facebook Fan Page for your business is an incredibly wise marketing tactic.

The Importance of Establishing a Facebook Page. The biggest distinction between a personal profile, group, and page is that the only one viewable to the public and indexed by search engines is a page. This provides you, your business, and your page with SEO value-you will rank higher in Google when people search for your product or service. And because it's public, individuals don't have to have a Facebook account to view your page-there's no barrier to entry.

Even though you can only have one personal profile (with a limit of 5,000 friends), Facebook will let you set up several pages with an unlimited number of fans. You're also able to message all of your fans at once with a Fan Page, but can message only a few people at once on your personal profile. What's even better is that you can focus in on a targeted niche when you send a message. For example, you could message only females of a certain age in Dallas, Texas.

The viral potential of Facebook is also important to keep in mind. This means that posts on your Official Page's wall show up in the News Feed which reaches a broader audience on all of your fans' personal profile pages (remember the average Facebooker has 130 friends-that's an additional 130 people on average that view your post X the number of fans for your page).

Another common feature of Facebook is Groups, but bear in mind, Groups aren't public content and therefore, aren't indexed by the search engines. If you want to set up a Group, I recommend you first create an Official Page for your business, and then set up a Group as a subpart of your Page.

How to Create an Official Facebook Page. It's easy to set up a Page for your business on Facebook. Just go to the Facebook homepage and click on "Create a Page." Next, you'll either sign into your Facebook account or create a new one.

When creating your Official Page, keep in mind these success tips:

Work on it and create it before you publish it.
Rather than inviting all of your friends to "like" your page, only suggest it to those in your target market.
Build your page and content with SEO in mind - make your page keyword rich.
Interact and engage; start discussions, ask questions, get to know your fans.
Give fans something special-an incentive to become a fan. Maybe this is a coupon code, special discount, free gift, etc.
Connect your Page with your other social media accounts like your blog, Twitter, and YouTube (consider using an application like Involver).
Always be sharing interesting, relevant content, even if it's not your own.
Don't forget to build your list! Add an opt-in box for a free gift directly to your Facebook Page with an application like Static FBML, which lets you add custom HTML to any of your pages.
